What is Second Wave Feminism?

Second Wave Feminism enveloped the ideas of women having the choice to work and live outside of the home. It argued that for many women, the private sphere and homelife was not fulfilling. Instead, women needed to have careers and have a say in what happens outside of their homes. This applied to education, careers, and politics. With this, came the idea that women should have more autonomy in decisions concerning relationships. Women should be free to be more sexually liberated. They should have more say in their relationships and their ability to leave them. Finally, they also should have to freedom to choose in bodily autonomy, such as with abortions.
